The Cardiff Leon Paul Junior Series event is made possible through the kind support of several individuals and organisations. These include: Leon Paul Fencing Equipment, Radyr Comprehensive School, Cardiff University Fencing Club and many others. We are also indebted to our army of referees and armourers that help the event run.
We are constantly looking for additional partners and sponsors to help us raise as much money as possible for Save The Children; if you, or a company you represent, would like to help us to this end please feel free to contact us through this website.

About Us

The Cardiff Leon Paul Junior Series is run by the same team that runs the Oxfam Open. This has been running since 2009 (although there were a few years it was missing from the calendar due to issues securing a cost effective hall). Since it has been running the Oxfam Open has raised over £5000 for Oxfam. Both events are run by a team from Russell Swords with support from other local clubs, including large levels of support from Cardiff University Fencing Club.

The Cardiff LPJS started in 2014 with the aim of being a highly accessible competition for those taking their first steps into the competitive side of fencing. The competitions aspire to offer a large number of extremely competent referees and the excellent running which has become associated with the Oxfam Open.
